There are three (3) airports in the Baltimore/Washington, DC region:

1. Reagan National Airport (DCA)

15 miles from University of Maryland-College Park Best transport option: Washington Metro Rail: http://www.wmata.com/ Take the yellow line train towards Mt. Vernon Square/Convention Center Station or Ft. Totten Station (same direction) from Reagan National Airport Station. Change to the green line, which runs on the same track, in the direction of Greenbelt Station at any convenient stop before the end of the yellow line. Ask your hotel if they provide free shuttle service from either College Park Metro Station or Greenbelt Station You can also take an airport taxi or Super Shuttle from the airport

2. Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)

3. Dulles International Airport (IAD)

37 miles from University of Maryland-College Park Best transport option: airport taxi or Super Shuttle There is a WMATA bus that connects IAD to L'Enfant Metro Station, but the trip from IAD to Greenbelt Metro Station will take approx. 2 hours in total. Ask your hotel if they provide free shuttle service from either College Park Metro Station or Greenbelt Station You can also take an airport taxi or Super Shuttle, but be prepared for a fare in excess of $75 USD

IV. Metro

Take the Green Line train (toward Greenbelt, unless you're starting from the Greenbelt Station itself); get off at the College Park/U of MD station.

Shuttle UM: The university's Shuttle-UM buses pick up university-bound passengers on the EAST side of the metrorail station (to your left as you exit the turnstiles). Shuttle-UM service between the College Park Station (Green line) and the center of campus is very frequent - every 8 minutes peak hours most weekdays - is offered year-round, and is open to everyone - no ID required. Shuttle passengers should exit the bus at the second on-campus stop, outside of the Regents Drive Parking Garage.

V. Driving

The most convenient parking area for the event is the Union Lane Garage (or the Regents Drive Garage on Thursday evening). Driving directions for the Union Lane Garage can be found at this link. After exiting your car, cross campus drive, which is the main thoroughfare on for the university. If you keep walking in this direction you will find the campus mall. McKeldin Library is the large building at the front of this area. The Friday conference will be on the sixth floor, in the McKeldin Special Events Room (6137).
