Wednesday, September 12, 2012

Dr. Katie Shilton has been invited to give the plenary talk, "Privacy and Ethics for Pervasive Data Collecton," at the 11th Annual C3 (Cyberethics, Cybersafety & Cybersecurity) Conference. The conference will be held on October 4th through the 5th at the University of Maryland, College Park campus.

From C3:

The C3 Conference is a high quality professional development event for educators in Maryland and the mid-Atlantic region. The core mission of the C3 Conference is to inform the education community about ethical, legal, safety and security implications of technology use and illustrate how educators and parents can apply these concepts to their own setting.

This year we are excited to partner with the Maryland State Department of Education to offer a fully day of content related to promising practices for the prevention of bullying and harrassment, including online behaviors.  Combining the 3rd Annual Maryland Conference on the Prevention of Bully and harrassment with the C3 Conference provides a unique opportunity to educators to attend both events at a single location.
