Sci-Dentity: Interdisciplinary Learning in the School Library

Too often we hear about the problems in the American education system with few innovative ideas to change the situation. The narrative usually goes like this “students aren’t prepared to compete on the world stage in the arena of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM),” or “they are so caught up in today’s ever expanding media landscape such as Facebook and Instagram that they don’t understand the ramifications of the choices they are making with regards to intellectual property, copyright and privacy,” or “kids today just want to google everything or, at most, go to Wikipedia.
